Founded in 1966 the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF), is an independent international, nonprofit accreditor of health and human services. Its mission is to promote the quality, value, and optimal outcomes of services through a consultative accreditation process and continuous improvement services that center on enhancing the lives of persons served. CARF serves as a catalyst for improving the quality of life of the persons served through responsiveness to a dynamic and diverse environment.
CARF accreditation decision to award the School of Psychological and Behavior Science’s Evaluation and Developmental Center this high level of accreditation is based upon the EDC’s ability to satisfy each of the CARF Accreditation Conditions and to demonstrate substantial conformance to the standards. Demonstrating that the organization is designed and operated to benefit the persons served and shows quality improvement from any previous periods of CARF accreditation.
